Every life is precious and every loving relationship is unique. That’s why they deserve a ceremony that is personal and meaningful. I am here to help you to mark the most important chapters in your life with beauty, humour and dignity. The ceremonies that we create together are like the book marks placed between the pages of our personal stories to ensure that they are never forgotten.
Our life stories are unique to each of us, but they all have something in common: finding and losing. We find and lose each other, we find and lose our health, our jobs, our direction, our place to be… This finding and losing can have such a profound effect upon us that we feel the need to mark it.
That is where ceremonies are born.
When we find someone special we want to celebrate, and so we should. But when we lose someone precious we want to hold on to their memory, even as we have to let go. We want to remember how special and unique they were, and commemorate how much they meant to us.
For over 30 years now I have enjoyed creating and conducting tailor-made ceremonies: weddings, baby namings, funerals, memorials, civil partnerships, renewal of vows. All of them truly personal and totally unforgettable.
More recently I have been asked to write individual ceremonies to mark other important chapters in people’s lives: anniversaries, retirement, special birthdays, engagements, moving away, or going to university, and ceremonies to mark the adoption of a child, or the blending of two step-families who already have children.
If you would like me to conduct your ceremony, I will meet with you personally and spend time getting to know you, hearing your story, and listening to your ideas, hopes and wishes. Then I will bring them all together to create the most meaningful ceremony that is unique to you and your family.
It would be an honour to help you create something so special.
